Jenna Lane, DVM

Dr. Jenna Lane grew up in Maine and always knew her career path would center around animals. She spent her childhood caring for all of her various pets including dogs, cats, ferrets, a parakeet, rabbits, and horses. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from the College of Wooster in Ohio and then went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada.
Dr. Lane is passionate about creating strong relationships with pets and the people who love them. She believes a pet is a family member and should receive the highest standard of care. She really enjoys general practice and being able to work as a team with a pet's family to provide the most compassionate and thorough medicine possible. Her professional interests include preventative medicine, bahavior, and nutrition. Dr. Lane is a Fear Free Certified Professional, which means she is committed to providing veterinary visits that eliminate fear, anxiety, and stress for both the pet and the owner. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Maine Veterinary Medical Association, and the International Sled Dog Veterinary Medical Association. In the future, she hopes to expand her areas of expertise to include canine sports medicine and rehabilitation as well as alternative medicine including acupuncture and chiropractic.
Dr. Lane shares her life with her fiancé James, her dogs Lily, Lark, Lettuce, and Rabbit, and her horse, Prism. Outside of work, she is a member of the New England Sled Dog Club and participates in dog powered sports with her sled dogs. She also enjoys horseback riding, hiking, being at the lake, and reading.
